Florian Schmidtner is Head of Investor Consulting at Invest Region Leipzig GmbH (IRL). Invest Region Leipzig GmbH is a non-profit company of the City of Leipzig, the Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the administrative districts of Northern Saxony and Leipzig. It is active as a settlement and acquisition agency for the economic Region of Leipzig.

In his role as Investor Consultant for the Leipzig Region, he guides and supports companies in the entire site identification and site selection process. He also acts as contact person for the growth markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Due to study visits in Poznań and Warsaw as well as his time at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Poland in Warsaw (AHK Poland), his focus lies in the Polish-German business relations.
