Silesian Medical University professional, twice as a Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Actively assisted in the process of education and skill development of nurses, midwives and physiotherapists.

Currently, Vice-Rector for the Development and Promotion of the University.
In clinical work, primarily, her professional passion focuses on the problems of infertility and accompanying endocrine disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, children and girls gynecology, menopause.

She develops her interests in the field of aesthetic gynecology. Author of over 300 scientific publications. She is an active member of Polish Society of Gynecologyst, The Polish Society of Endocrinology, The Polish Sexological Society, The Polish Society of Sexual Medicine, The Polish Society for the Study of Obesity, The European Society for Sexual Medicine, The International Society for Sexual Medicine, The International Federtion of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
Professor Violetta Skrzypulec-Plinta has been awarded numerous prizes, including: Hippocrates 2015 and the "Doctor - a friend of women" distinction awarded by the patients.
