Prof. Rash Bihari Prasad Singh, son of Lt. Jagannath Prasad Singh was born on 02/12/1950 in the state of Bihar. The state which witnessed first freedom movement of India in 1917. He did his :-

·       Matriculation in 1967 with First class

·       Ph.D in Geography from Patna University in 1984

·       Appointed as lecturer in Patna University in 1986 in the Department of Geography, Patna University.

Prof. Rash Bihari Prasad Singh has adorned various chair in the capacity of:

·       Pro Vice Chancellor of Nalanda Open University, Patna (Bihar)-2008

·       Vice President of National geographers- 2009-10

·       Received “Star of Asia Award 2014”

·       Received “ Global Leadership Award 2016”

Presently, holding chair of the Vice Chancellor, Patna University, Patna (Bihar)
