Prof. dr hab. inż. Jan Deja (1955, Strzelce Opolskie). The graduate (1979) of the faculty of the materials engineering and ceramics of the Stanisław Staszic University of Science and Technology in Cracow (technology of binding materials).Since the time of the University graduation he is associated with the college. He specializes in the subject matter associated with the technology of concrete, binding and building materials. The author and the co-author about 150 of academic publications. The co-author of 15 patents from which the considerable part was implemented for the industry. From 1992 he is connected with the Polish Cement Association where he is performing the post of prime manager of the office. He is representing Polish Cement Association in the European CEMBUREAU organization. He is the editor-in-chief of the quarterly "Construction Technologies Architecture" from 1998. He is a chairman of the organizing committee organising conferences of „Days of concrete” (8 editions).
From November 2012 he is a professor of the Technology of building materials. He participates in the teaching and the research activity in domestic and international projects for many years. In 2012 he was appointed through GDDKiA to the head of the team of New General Technical Specifications for concrete. He is a member of a team of experts of the ministry of the infrastructure.
