Co-creator of the startups ecosystem in Poland.
Darek started with creating the BCC Student Forum and changes in law. Through student’s bill, it has managed to introduce, among other things, a ZUS tax relief for start-up companies for the first two years.
In 2004, he created a network of Academic Business Incubators (AIP) in which more than 13,000 entrepreneurs have started so far. Currently, these companies employ over 150,000 people and have turnovers over PLN 28 billion per year.
In 2007, he created the AIP Seed Capital fund (111 investments including CallPage, Glov, Sidly, Qpony.pl), and in 2015 he co-founded bValue VC (over 10 investments including Tidio, Shoplo, Fluentbe, BeRaw).
In 2012, he founded the first coworking network in Poland - business.link. In 2018, it was the largest coworking brand in CEE (over 2,500 residents and 40,000 m2). He sold shares in February 2019 to the global development leader Skanska.
He also co-created the brand of Entrepreneurial Poland.
