15 May 2019 • 14:30-15:00 • Domino Stage
Thematic scope
What impact is the merging of virtual and physical worlds having on the workplace? How can we develop and use mixed reality technologies to generate new ways of thinking and forms of creativity? How can artificial senses be used to widen our perception of reality? How can technology help us with the prerequisites for creative work such as maintaining good mental health? How can we mitigate against the ideology of productivity to help avoid the Hikikomori problem? How can automation become an asset instead of a threat? These themes and issues will be explored via a number of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) projects including WEKIT ECS which is newly formed spin off company from the recently completed project '[WEKIT] Wearable Experience for Knowledge Intensive Training’ http://wekit.eu. WEKIT won a 2.8 million Euro Horizon 2020 grant to generate ‘Wearable Experience’ (WE) an entirely new form of media.
