Since 2017 Mr. Piotr Górnik has been the Head of Heating and Cooling business in Poland. Between 2009 – 2016 he was in charge of heat production and distribution in Poland. Previously, between 2006 and 2009 he held the position of the Chairman of the Board of Fortum Częstochowa, where he was responsible for implementing the biggest investment project in Częstochowa, i.e. construction of the combined heat and power plant fueled with coal and biomass.
Between 2000 and 2006 he was Chairman of the Board of Elsen Power Plant in Częstochowa. Earlier, at the start of his professional career he was employed at the Częstochowa Steelworks, where he worked since 2000.
Piotr Górnik is a graduate of Częstochowa University of Technology. He completed postgraduate studies on neutralization of waste at Warsaw University of Technology in 1993, management and marketing at Warsaw School of Economics in 1997, and power engineering auditing at the Silesian University of Technology in 2000. He is a member of science and technology associations, sports associations and the economic self-government.
