Peter Bodnár is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology in Bratislava. From May 1, 2014, he is the President of the Board and CEO of ŠKODA PRAHA a.s.

He gained his professional and managerial experience as the Managing Director of ALSTOM Power Slovakia, ALSTOM Power, ALSTOM Group Brno and as the Director of Quality and Process Improvement in the company Slovenské elektrárne a.s. In the years 2008 – 2014, he was the Director of the Investment Department of CEZ, a. s. and in the years 2009-2013 he was a member of the management board of the company, as a Member of the Management Board.

In addition, he was on the Supervisory Boards of many companies, including: Akenerji Elektrik Uretim A.S., ŠKODA PRAHA Invest, ÚJV Řež, ČEZ Bohunice, the association of nuclear energy Jadrová energetická spoločnosť Slovenska, a. s., TPP Varna, Ners, ŠKODA PRAHA a.s., DECOM Slovakia, spol. s r. o., Chladiace veže Bohunice, spol. s.r.o.
