Prof. Dr. Mukund Sarda, Dean, Faculty of Law at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed To Be University became the Principal of Law College in the year 1991 at a very young age of 25 years. He is triple gold medallist at LL.B, LL.M and Ph.D. His academic excellence is acclaimed by experts in the field of law. He had the rare honour of being invited at Oxford University on 18th March, 2009 to deliver a lecture on “Media & Law”.  He had also attended the 57th National Prayer Breakfast at Washington DC in 2009 which was addressed by the then US President Barrack Obama and Tony Blair, Former Prime Minister of UK. The National Prayer was attended by more than 5000 delegates from 180 countries all over the world. Prof. Dr. Sarda also visited American Bar Association, Los Angeles Bar Association, Supreme Court of State of Hawaii, and various Universities in Washington, New York and Los Angeles. He was received by Justice Moon, the then Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Hawaii, United States of America.

He led the delegation of six students and two faculty members to participate at Harvard United Nations Model Conference at Harvard University, Boston, USA in 2010. Recently, he was also invited to deliver talks at the Nottingham Trent University, UK and Chu Hai University, Hong Kong.

His illustrious career has many glorious chapters. His passion for the growth of New Law College is evident from the fact that the legends of Indian Judiciary, renowned lawyers, eminent judges, academicians and politicians have time and again visited Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College. He is known for building international collaboration and designing of era in legal education in India. He has been awarded with Best Teacher Award twice and with National Bar Award in the year 2008.  He holds various academic and administrative posts in Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed To Be University and other Universities of national eminence. His role in coalescing the legal education of the country into new innovations, scholarly reforms and tranquil yet influential academic revolution, with his scientific methods and global outlook, is remarkable.  He is the Member of the Legal Education Committee & the Equivalence Committee, Bar Council of India which is India’s leading regulatory body for legal education. He is also a Member of the National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam & Chanakya National Law University, Patna, Bihar. Besides this, he  also a Member of Board of Management and Academic Council, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed To Be university, Confederation of  Indian Industry (CII), Indian Merchant Chamber (IMC), Advisory Committee, Centre for Human Rights Development, and Global Vision India Foundation.
