Grzegorz Żarski has been working in the energy sector since 1993. He gained experience as a commodity exchanges broker at the Power Plant in Legnica, EnergiaPro and EnergiaPro Gigawat in Wrocław, where he took part in setting up of the companies’ wholesale trade functions.

Between 2003 and 2017, he actively participated in the development of new business areas in TAURON Polska Energia S.A., such as risk and portfolio management, as well as market analyses, and was responsible for their reorganisation while holding various managerial positions. His positions in TAURON Polska Energia, included Portfolio Management Director and Executive Director responsible for Analysis and Planning. 

In 2016-2017, he served on the Supervisory Board of Tauron Sprzedaż Sp. z o.o. as Secretary, and in 2017 as Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MAGENTA Grupa Tauron Sp. z o.o. Since December 2017, he has been using his experience working in TGE as the Director of the Market Development and Analyses Office. 

As an expert on the energy market, fuels market, emission trading system and member of the Polish Electricity Committee and the Energy Trading Association, he took an active part in the development and shaping of the Polish energy sector.

In 1998 Grzegorz Żarski graduated from the Wrocław University of Technology in the field of measurement instruments and systems. He is also a graduate of the Wrocław University of Economics, where he completed, in 2006, the post-graduate studies in logistics management. He graduated from the MBA programme at the Koźmiński University in Warsaw in 2017.
