Teresa Czerwińska, PhD, was born on 7 September 1974. She graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences (in 1997) and the Faculty of Management (1998) at the University of Gdańsk. In 2010, she was promoted to the assistant professor of economics (doktor habilitowany nauk ekonomicznych). Her areas of expertise in business practice and research interests span across financial management and risk assessments for business entities. Teresa Czerwińska is an author and co-author of many scientific publications in the field of financial management, investment, insurance and risk assessments for financial institutions. She was elected a secretary of the Committee on Financial Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the third term of office (2015-2018). She is actively involved in capital market research and promotes financial management trend in accordance with the concept of corporate social responsibility. In 2014, Teresa Czerwińska was appointed by the Minister of Economy a Member of Corporate Social Responsibility Team. In the years 2010-2011 she was employed as an associate professor at the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk. From 2011 to this day, she has been employed as an associate professor in the Department of Financial Systems of the Economy at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw. Teresa Czerwińska is married and has one daughter. She is a theatre-goer and classical music lover.
