Position: Chairman of the Board

President of the Board of Krakowski Holding Komunalny S.A. (Municipal Holding Company) of Krakow since 2013. Until 31 March 2017, the President of the Management Board of Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji S.A. (Municipal Waterworks and Sewage Company) of Kraków, whose development he led for 18 years, creating a company that is financially stable, uses state-of-the-art technologies and completes multimillion investment projects under modern management in accordance with the contemporary market trends.

 

As part of his work in the municipal management sector, he led a series of key investment projects, including the upgrade an extension of the Płaszów Sewage Treatment Plant together with the construction of the Sludge Incineration Plant, upgrades of water treatment stations and the implementation of multiple programs of water and sewage network development;

he also supervised the construction of the largest capacity Waste Incineration Plant with Heat Recovery in Poland.

 

He started his professional career in 1978 with a job at one of the largest machine industry companies in southern Poland: Zakłady Budowy Maszyni Aparatury im. St. Szadkowskiego, Kraków. Over 20 years, he gained experience (also in implementing new technological solutions, applying organisation and management methods, improving the professional development of the staff), as a result of which in the 1990s, he became a Member of the Management Board, and then took the position of the President of the Management Board of the Company.

 

Aa graduate of the Faculty of Technology and Mechanisation of the AGH University of Science and Technology, Kraków. He has supplemented his knowledge at postgraduate courses at the Kraków University of Technology and the Kraków University of Economics.

 

His working style and personality have gained recognition evidenced by numerous prizes and titles awarded to him by industry, business and scientific communities. He has received, among others, the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for his achievements in developing water management, the title of the Business Fair Play Ambassador awarded to Polish business personalities with particular achievements in popularising ethics in business, and also the title of the Kraków Citizen of the Year 2014 in the business category for his effectiveness in managing the construction of the Heat Recovery Waste Incineration Plant.
