Mr. Peiu is now working as senior partner for the company called Jensen Consultants and its Romanian branch Jensen Fitch Consultance SRL; he is currently responsible, inside the European team, for the Romanian clients, dealing with government and public authorities.
We can mention clients such as Coca Cola Hellenic, (bottler for Coca Cola Inc and the market leader in the beverages industry), Sanofi Romania, Heineken Romania and , as a former top client, Euromedic- now Affidea ( the market leader in the country for radiology services, the main service provider for the Health Insurance House ).Also, in the last years to this portfolio used to be included Luxten LLC , the market leader on the domestic market on ESCO business .
Part of the current activities is related to companies from the defense sector, which are not subject of any disclosure.
Some of the relevant achievements ( previous years)for this company, as a result of Mr. Peiu activity are the contracts for Alcatel Romania and VMB Partners ( market leader in consultancy for local authorities financing).
Past time, he was involved in consultancy work for East Point Holding (owner of Silotrans in Constanta) and IFC (branch of World Bank group).
In the last seven years, Mr. Peiu extended his consulting services on the market of Republic of Moldavia.
In the year 2005, Mr. Peiu was responsible for the local activities in the Phare project `` Vessel Traffic Management System on the Danube``, a project with the value over 4 million EURO. Also, starting 2005 till beginning 2006, Mr. Peiu was involved in the completion of the feasibility study and the tender documents for the City of Bucharest for the project called ``Metropolitan Optical Fiber Network``; he is now part of the consultancy team for the city of Galati (EBRD contract) in the project Automatic Fare Collection:
Mr. Peiu is lecturer at the University ``Politehnica`` of Bucharest; in this capacity he is author of two courses and over 15 articles. Mr. Peiu is also head of Department for Economic Studies at Black Sea University Foundation, under the Romanian Academy (www.fumn.eu) and participates to the Strategy of next 20 years Development of Romania (http://www.acad.ro/bdar/strategiaAR/doc11/Strategia.pdf).
Mr. Peiu used to be advisor for foreign economic relations for two prime ministers, Mr. Radu Vasile (right wing coalition, from 1998 to 1999) and Mr. Adrian Nastase (Social Democratic Party, from 2001 to 2003). During Mr. Vasile mandate, Mr. Peiu was his chief of staff.
From 2003 to 2004, Mr. Peiu was undersecretary of state for Foreign Investments.
Mr. Peiu used to be CEO of Sidex Galati (largest steel mill in the region, 1999-2000), member of the board of Romtelecom (national telecom company, 1998-2000), and member of the board of Omniasig (third largest insurance company, from 1998 to 2001).
During his government involvement, Mr. Peiu served as a contact point for the big foreign investors in the country, being responsible with the assistance to be given to companies such as Renault, Daewoo, OTE, General Electric, General Motors, Lafarge, and Coca Cola HBC.
He was also the contact point for business issues for US Embassy, during Ambassador Guest time.
Mr. Peiu is 49, he’s married and father of one. He is PhD and graduated several programs in reputable institutions such as WTO, Japanese Bank for International Cooperation, Georgetown University.
