High-performing executive with over 18 years of experience in general- and project management including start-ups, M&As and restructuring.
Co-owner and Managing Partner of EVolutio S.C. which is focused on leisure industry projects. Main services are Business Consulting, Strategy Consulting, Operational Excellence, Program and Project management, Venue management, Event management.
Vast experience in the management of megaprojects and large events. Coordinated the organization of two European Championship tournaments in Poland (UEFA EURO 2012 and MEN’s EHF 2016).
Between 2008 and 2012 he was CEO of PL.2012, which was the central organisation and general PMO for all public side projects and areas responsible for successful preparations and delivery Euro 2012 in Poland including:

·       Coordination of key/strategic investments projects including stadia, airports as well as more than 250 organizational projects in the area of transport and logistics (ground and air), safety and security, ICT, funzone service, volunteers, accommodation, intellectual property, country promotion

·       complex stakeholder management (170 partners and institutions)

·       operational readiness program; 114 operational plans for the Event (all levels, all services)

·       event management at National public level; General Staff (command, control, communication)

·       4,5 years cooperation with UEFA, PFA, coordination with Ukraine

From January 2013 he was managing the National Stadium in Warsaw. Development and successful implementation of totally new (breakthrough) business strategy and operational model which laid foundation for achieving positive financial results in 2014 and 2015. From 2012 to 2016 he was Executive Manager of Men’s EHF Euro 2016 running all phases of Men’s EHF EURO 2016; planning, delivery and tournament management.
Prior to embarking on the EURO 2012 project, Marcin Herra had spent 13 years in the fuel industry. He worked as the Chairman of Lotos Group’s largest subsidiary. In 2006 and 2007 was broadening his knowledge at Shell Global Solutions. member of international teams; working for companies in various countries (Russia, England, Serbia, Netherlands).
He completed legal and MBA studies. The companies and teams managed by Marcin Herra so far have won the recognition of experts e.g. International Project Management Association Poland, Polish Project Excellence Award 2012 for best-managed project in Poland; Forbes, Milestone for Project/Event of the Year, Event of the Year for Men’s EHF Euro 2016.
