In January 2016, Katarzyna Zawodna was appointed President at Skanska Commercial Development Europe. Since then, she has been responsible for the company’s strategy and operations in the area of innovative office investments in  four rapidly-developing markets of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE): Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary.

Katarzyna Zawodna has worked for Skanska since 2006, when she joined the Marketing and Leasing Department at Skanska Property Poland. Over the past seven years, she has helped to introduce and develop pioneering standards of green building to the Polish market. In 2010, she was promoted to the position of sustainable development manager and joined the company’s Board of Directors. A year later, she was appointed Regional Manager for Region North at Skanska Property Poland. In March 2014, she was made Managing Director of the unit. During her term, Skanska has strengthened its position as one of the largest office developers in Poland and the most active company on the country's regional markets. Furthermore, the unit has signed sales agreements for seven office buildings worth 344 million EUR. In addition, Skanska Property Poland  also launched the development of a further seven new investments in 2015.

Katarzyna Zawodna graduated from The Warsaw School of Economics. In addition, she also holds the title of LEED Accredited Professional.
