President of the Polish Automotive Industry Association. Entire professional life tied with the automotive industry. He started his career at Renault, then he was the director of sales and marketing at the exclusive importer of SAAB. Continuation of his work in the automotive industry was managing the marketing department at Scania Polska SA. In 2002 he became director of the Association of Official Car Importers, the organization of the NGO sector, that since then has become the largest Polish automotive industry employers' organization associating currently 49 companies: manufacturers of motor vehicles, motorcycles, mopeds and motorized four-wheelers, as well as manufacturers of vehicle bodies, trailers, semi-trailers, parts or components of motor vehicles for original assembly in Poland. Since 2008, as a president of the organization transformed into Polish Automotive Industry Association (PZPM), he supports activities for the development and promotion of Polish automotive sector. As the head of PZPM, Jakub Faryś is involved in the work of the governmental and the parliamentary committees; provides the most relevant opinions on draft legal acts concerning the automotive industry. Representing the interests of member companies in the organs the European Union - including the European Parliament and the European Commission - he has been nominated by the Ministry of Economy as one of the governmental expert of automotive sector to participate in the work of the High Level Group - CARS 21 and CARS 2020. Regularly participates in the meetings of European industry organizations - ACEA (European Automobile Manufacturers Association) and ACEM (European Motorcycle Manufacturers Association), where represents the voice of Polish automotive industry. Jakub Faryś, continuously present in the media is the author of many publications in economic and automotive industry; commentator of industry’s issues and its environment.
