Aleksandra Gawlikowska-Fyk

Position: Head of the ‘Energy’ Programme

Aleksandra is a Head of the International Economic Relations and Energy Policy Programme at the Polish Institute of International Affairs. She has a PhD in Economics and MA in Administration. Her research interests concentrate on the EU’s energy policy, with particular emphasis on the internal market, both in electricity and gas, as well as EU energy security and the concept of Energy Union. Her recent work focused on the research project “Nuclear Energy in Poland: Balance Sheet and Future Outlook,” which resulted in the report covering  findings of public opinion research, both quantitative and qualitative, taken by the PISM. As a former employee of the Energy Regulatory Office she dealt with the issues of domestic energy sector and regional electricity markets.
