A graduate of the Silesian University of Technology (in the field of mining) and the University of Warsaw (in the field of finance). He started his career in 1982 in the coal mine "Wesoła", where he worked until 1990. Between 1990 and 1995, as a director and chairman, he managed and reorganized municipal enterprises in Mysłowice. In the same period, he was a vice president of Netia S.A, which he co-created with 21 Silesian municipalities. In 1995, he returned to the mining industry. Until 2003, he worked in structures of "Nadwiślańska Spółka Węglowa S.A." as a Director and Vice-President in charge of trade and finance. On 30 December 2004, after one and a half of a year preparations, as CEO he inroduced a first private factoring company – Eurofactor S.A. on the stock exchange. Since 2006 he has supervised and since 2009 he has been the President of the Board of Conbelts Bytom S.A. • Donator of the Polish Department at Columbia University in New York. • Member of the Board of Medicina Pro Humana Foundation, Katowice. • Donator of the Chopin Foundation, Brussels.
