Aleksandra Skowronek was born in Tarnowskie Góry. She graduated The Faculty of Law at The Silesian University in Katowice and next – the postgraduate studies: The Human Resource Management at The University of Economics in Katowice and The Institute of Local Leaders at WSB University. The majority of her adult life and career was connected with Ruda Śląska. In 1992, she began working as the town clerk in The Health Department of The Municipal Council. Ten years later, she became the head of this department. In 2005, Aleksandra Skowronek was put forward for the Deputy Mayor of Ruda Śląska. Her list of responsibilities included: education, culture, sport, health and social issues. Since 2010, she supervised the same departments as the Deputy Mayor of Świętochłowice. Since March 2014, Aleksandra Skowronek has been The Vice-Marshal of The Silesian Voivodeship.
